Main Street Landing asked Ron Hernandez, an artist, to create an endangered species wall along the hallway from Skinny Pancake to the Bathrooms. Many people travel down that hallway to get to the bathroom, and we thought it was a great idea to create an experience. The wall is painted with numerous endangered species including a Tiger, Elephant, Whales, Bats, Dolphins, Frogs, and the list goes on. Mariah Riggs created the soundtrack that you hear as you walk through the experience. It is truly a magnificent masterpiece and it allows people to understand that these species are dying off, and we may lose them. It's an opportunity to reflect on their presence which because we live in Vermont, we don't experience these animals often - if at all. We need to think about extinction, and the Endangered Species Wall does that.
