NOTE: These dates and times are when you will have access to the space. Be very clear about when you need access to the space, and be sure to include set up and tear down days and time as needed. All other times not indicated and approved by Main Street Landing herewith in this application will require another application and additional payment. 3RD FLOOR

Main Street Landing BLACK BOX

135 seats, stage area is 40' x 20' and may be narrowed if back of stage curtain is moved forward. Height from the stage to the lighting grid is about 17'. Theater groups $300 per day performance days,
$100 per day for technical and ‘dark’ days.  For profit companies
$600 per day. 
All Theater rehearsals must take place in the Black Box.

Black Box Rental includes use of the Green Room, Box Office and Sandwich Boards. Access to the Green Room is included ONLY if you rent the Black Box Theatre, it cannot be rented separately.

Please use Lift to hang lights. Do NOT hang from lighting grid as it is not engineered for human weight. You must use the Lift behind the stage to access the lighting grid. Please do not remove the lift from the Black Box.  Do NOT move the microphones hanging from the ceiling ... they need to remain where they are and moving them will cause damage. Do NOT touch the microphones please! If you rent the Main Street Landing  Black Box and need use of the control/lighting booth or microphones you will need a technical tutorial and sign-out before you can get access.  Please contact Melinda Moulton @ 802-864-7999 to arrange an appointment.  Technical directors charge $30 per hour for their service plus travel time and will bill you directly. NO ACCESS OR USE of the Control room without a Technical  tutorial and approval.  Once you have been signed out you do not need to do the tutorial again.

On Performance Days the Atrium is available at no charge to Theater groups for concessions.
NOTE: No food or drinks are allowed in the BLACK BOX ... only bottled water, please.

Main Street Landing FILM HOUSE
54' x 46' and is 18' at the podium floor area which is 15' wide.
World class presentation/cinema hall with state of the art audio/visual equipment surround sound, Digital projection, 25-foot screen, podium, and Box Office. The Film House offers a screen, power point and DVD projector included in the space and the price.

If you are showing a film and can do so from the podium, you do not need any technical instruction.  If you need more sophisticated technical assistance or you need to manage your event from the projector room, you will need to hire a technician.  To do so, please call Melinda Moulton @ 802-864-7999 to set up an appointment.  Technicians charge $30 per hour for their service plus travel time and will bill you directly. They can help you with your technical or lighting requirements and all your sound needs.   Only Main Street Landing Technicians are allowed in the Projection Booth . No admittance for any other individuals!

NOTE: The FILM HOUSE has its own large movie screen. You do not need to rent a screen, projector, or any sound equipment.  No food or drinks are allowed in the FILM HOUSE ... only bottled water, please.

This room off the elevators is an open space with screening at one end. For full privacy please consider renting the Great Room. The Board Room seats 35 people, has 2 large conference tables and 35 chairs, and additional tables for serving refreshments.

This room can seat 60 people and is set up with 10 tables and 60 chairs. It has high ceilings and a view of Lake Champlain.

Damages

ANY DAMAGES SUSTAINED as a direct result of your event, and/or the cost to replace any missing equipment is your responsibility and you will be required to reimburse MSL the costs to repair or replace damages or equipment. Please be sure to take very care of all the equipment you rent, and be very careful to return the space to the condition you found it prior to your event. Also, do everything possible not to damage the premises during your event as you will be liable for any damages that are the direct consequence of your event. YOU ARE ALSO REQUIRED to remove all of your rubbish and debris from the space[s] when you leave, and return the space[s] to the condition you found on arrival. Trash cans are located in the common areas ... please use them. We have a “pack in and pack out” policy.

MAIN STREET LANDING LICENSE AGREEMENT

The Main Street Landing LLC (hereinafter ''Licenser'') a Vermont corporation having a place of business in Burlington Vermont, does hereby license and permit

THIS LICENSE TO USE shall commence and conclude as follows

THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS of this Agreement are as follows:

Said real property is being licensed ''as is'', and renovations to the property must be approved in writing by the Licenser. Main Street Landing does not permit anything to be hung on its walls or suspended from its ceilings without prior written approval. This License does not permit the Licensee to make any changes, additions, or deletions to the property without the written approval of Licenser. Licensee is responsible for the collection and removal of all trash, garbage, debris resulting from the use of the property and the return of the property to the ''as is'' condition prior to taking possession of said property. Licensee shall and will indemnify and save harmless the Licenser from and against any and all liability, claims, demands, and damage, incurred during and arising from the Licensee's use of the property described herein. This License allows the user to only use the space agreed upon in this document on the date(s) and time(s) specified herein, and Licenser's obligation is limited to providing space only. Any equipment or substances that may be considered dangerous or hazardous will not be permitted in the space.

Payment for use of said space is

PAYABLE TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT.

Licenser shall not be held responsible for any damage thereto, theft or any other misuse of property placed in said property, and Licenser shall not be held responsible for injury to any occupant who enters Main Street Landing's property as a result of the event of Licensee. This License shall terminate on the date and time provided herein at which time Licensee is required to have vacated the premises, unless such termination is exercised at any time by either the Licenser or Licensee.This License may be executed in one or more duplicate copies, and each copy so executed shall be treated for all intents as an original document. At all times, this License may be revoked by the Licenser without reason, and all (if any) deposit monies will be returned to Licensee should Licenser terminate this agreement. Licensee is required to hire an MSL Technician by calling Melinda Moulton @ 802-864-7999  to set up an appointment for assistance when renting the Film House or the Black Box . Cost is $30 per hour paid to technician directly and promptly by the Licensee. You will be charged for their travel time. you are required to hire a technician if you are renting the Film House and need to use the projector room rather than the podium for your event. Should you be concerned about the technical aspects of your event then hiring a technician to insure everything goes smoothly is highly recommended.

IN WITNESS THEREOF, the parties have caused their duly authorized agents to execute this instrument this day.

I understand and accept all the terms of this Agreement and License to Use, and descriptions and content set forth in this document in its entirety:

Main Street Landing does not accept payments from any other individual who is not an officer or duly authorized agent of the for-profit or non-profit organization, company, group utilizing Main Street Landing's property.

MSL requires a sponsorship level recognition for non-profit events at non-profit rate. Logo provided upon request.
